the killing of children.
During WW1 the ratio of soldier to civilian deaths was 9:1
By WW2 that statistic increased to 1:1
In today’s wars, that ratio* has completely inverted to 1:9
*for every one combatant killed in war, nine civilians are killed—most of whom are children. (source)
